SSF Giving Societies began with the Dr. Mode L. Stone Pledge Society in 2005, which has helped our organization foster its tradition of philanthropy by recognizing its most generous supporters.  All giving societies recognize members on an annual basis and, as part of the SSF Annual Fund, stress the importance of investments in our mission.

Why become a giving society member?

Whether you select our Young Philanthropist Society (Under 30), Pledge Society or our Education for Life Legacy Society, your gift helps make a lasting impact in the lives of the residents we serve. What does it really mean to be a giving society member?  Making a recurring monthly or annual gift at one of the giving society levels allows you to play an important role in the financial health of SSF and make a powerful statement about how much you value the Education for Life philosophy.

Young Philanthropist Society

SSF’s Young Philanthropist Society is our newest giving society which includes individuals and alumni who are 30 and younger and make a monthly recurring gift of $45 or less.  This society carries forward our vision by educating SSF Residents and Young Alumni about philanthropy, connecting them with our SSF Community and inspiring all of SSF’s recent alumni to make giving a priority and a tradition for years to come.

Dr. Mode L. Stone Pledge Society

Donors who make a gift of $500 or more annually for 3-5 consecutive fiscal years are members of the Dr. Mode L. Stone Pledge Society.  Involvement in our Pledge Society gives you the opportunity to enjoy the company of others who, like yourself, care about protecting and strengthening Southern Scholarship Foundation for future generations of deserving young students. By joining the pledge society today, you will enhance our abilities to continue providing this Education for Life experience for so many.

Education for Life Legacy Society

The Education for Life Legacy Society honors and recognizes donors who have included a gift for SSF in their wills, trusts, life income gifts, retirement plans, life insurance designations, endowments and other planned gifts. Legacy donors may direct their gift to establish a named endowed fund at SSF, etching their family names in the history of SSF, forever. By joining others who have taken this step, you can take satisfaction from knowing that you are part of the Education for Life legacy.
