A native of Stuart, FL, Marie Mahovetz joined SSF in the BPW Scholarship House from 2011-2013 while pursuing a degree in psychology and criminology at Florida State University. As a first-generation college student, living in SSF was significant for Marie, “SSF made the difference for me to take the leap and move to Tallahassee to make my dreams a reality.” As a resident, Marie served as an SSF Ambassador and worked as the Student Affairs Coordinator with the staff!

After graduating, Marie joined the SSF staff full-time and worked in multiple roles including, Foundation Liaison, Director of Marketing and Communications and Interim Director of Student Affairs for N. FL. She is currently a School Counselor for elementary students at a private PK-12 school.

Marie places a lot of value on her career at SSF, “I had the opportunity to work in three different positions during my time there, all while supporting the incredible mission of the foundation. I also learned many of my greatest professional skills from the co-workers I shared many years within the wonderful office on Stadium Drive.”
