Shirley Lima is an SSF alumna and lived in the Smith-Tyner Scholarship House from 1992-95. Prior to SSF, she lived in Salley Hall at Florida State University, where she studied in the College of Motion Picture Arts and received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts. Her most memorable moments in SSF were the times she hung out in the gazebo – which is still quite popular among residents!

After college, Shirley worked in Motion Picture/Television Development from 1995 to 2006, where she then switched to Broadcast Television. She currently does Broadcast Television Operations. She’s even worked at the Walt Disney Company!

Shirley currently lives in San Francisco, CA with her son. She credits SSF for allowing her to “graduate college debt free and jump start her career without a ton of worries!”
