Hello everyone, I am Tonny Salomon, an undergraduate student currently majoring in finance at Florida State University. I was born in Haiti and moved to the united states in 2010 after the deadly earthquake. I lived in West Palm Beach before moving to Tallahassee. In the future, I plan to become a financial advisor and hopefully open a non-profit organization that helps restore homes in third-world countries that were destroyed in the earthquake.
The things that I enjoy doing in my free time include playing sports and hanging out with friends and family. I also enjoy watching Netflix original movies and TV shows. After completing all my school work during the weekends, I also enjoy watching Florida State sports games.
I heard about the Southern Scholarship Foundation through AVID and Scholar CC organizations that I was a member of while in high school. Overall my SSF experience in ECA has been great. Every individual in my house has been welcoming since day one. It is always intriguing learning about the different upbringings that everyone in the household has had. SSF has helped me better my leadership and communication skills; I am glad that I have the opportunity to be a part of SSF.
