House Bio: The Gresham Kite – Pilot Scholarship House was built by SSF and opened in January 2004 as the first scholarship house at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. Sponsored by Florida District Pilot International in conjunction with the Pilot Scholarship House Foundation (PSHF), GKP houses 17 young women. Pilot members raised the $650,000 needed to build the house including a gift of $200,000 from Bobbie Kite and Fran Gresham, sisters who were members of the Pilot Club of Fort Myers, for whom the house is named. Bobbie and Fran were present at the groundbreaking. PSHF continues to maintain the house through contributions from their endowment fund.
