House Bio: The first Pilot Scholarship House opened in 1964 on W. College Avenue, sponsored by the Florida District of Pilot International. In 1977, after that house was sold, the current location on Stadium Drive was built and opened to accommodate more female residents and to ensure there would be no more than 2 students per room. The rocking chair that belonged to LaVerne Weddle, a dedicated Pilot International member, sits in the living room below her portrait.
