House Bio: The Mary Ellen Thomas Pilot Scholarship house opened in 1992 next to the original Pilot Scholarship House in Gainesville (later named the Badcock Scholarship House). Pilot Clubs from around Florida raised all the funds needed for the new house. The porch swing outside the house has been the location of at least one marriage proposal!
