Hi, my name is Robert Koch and I am a senior double majoring in professional sales and finance. I am from Sarasota, FL. I found out about SSF from my sister and from the Sarasota county school board scholarship web page. I am incredibly grateful for SSF. I know it is common for people to say that they would not be able to go to college without certain scholarships, but for me and my family it is certainly true. My hobbies include sports, socializing, eating, working out, and spending time with God. SSF and ECA have been great for me to pursue these further. There are many other active people in SSF that are always willing to get active and it is a great way to get to know people. There are also many people who have never spent time in the gym that I have brought to the gym and they really find a passion for it. I have also met many people who are dedicated in their faith which has been so awesome to be around. There are many different people in SSF and getting to know each individual and their background really has given me a wider perspective of the world. My favorite memories in SSF have been the camping trips. We have seen so many beautiful places, and they are a great way for the house to bond. Going to Providence Canyon with some people (such as Jose Petite-Frere) who have never seen orange dirt, or leaves changing colors was so cool and funny to experience. We also have so much time to get to know one another. It is really special to have a scholarship that starts as a necessity, become such an integral part of my college experience. After graduation I intend to land a sales development role for a company. I am still looking for a job but I am close to receiving some offers! I am willing to live in many places as long as it is a young and growing city. I know that these aspirations would not have become a reality without SSF, for that I will be forever grateful to SSF!
