Name: Corinna Gross
House: Lundquist
Hello! My name is Corinna Gross and I am the Media Coordinator and Social Chair for the Lundquist house! Just to tell you a little bit about myself, this is my second year at SSF and I am a sophomore in the ICT major (information, communication, and technology). I am studying to hopefully work as a web developer or web designer after I graduate. Though I am not yet sure what type of company I hope to work for, I know I would love to move to work Colorado after graduation.
I am the youngest of five kids in my family and most of my family has graduated and moved to Colorado, so not only does this state have beautiful mountains and a growing technology industry for a future job, but it also would be so nice to live near my siblings, nephews, and nieces. One fun fact about myself is that I was born in Beijing, China since my family lived there for about 7 years when I was younger. Sadly, I can’t speak the language and have little memories there, but it still plays a large role in the culture of my family and I love when I get to go back and visit our friends who still live there. But since I moved to Orlando, Florida when I was young and lived there for most of my childhood, I consider myself a true Floridian.
As for things that I love, I am a big nature girl. So sleeping in hammocks, going on nature walks, or having a picnic outside sounds like the perfect day for me. Especially if it is during fall since that is arguably the best season. Though I am not great at sports, I do enjoy playing volleyball or ultimate frisbee with my friends. I am also very involved with a club called Navigators on campus as well as my church called Downtown Community Church. And just to list a few more things that make me happy would be the color red, art, dad jokes, spontaneous trips, pranks, peanut butter, my little dog, playing my flute, and a good movie night with my housemates. So, I hope you know me a little better now and I hope to get to know you in the future!
