Name: Tiyena Bien-Aime
House: Mack Tyner
Hello everyone, my name is Tiyena Bien-Aime and I am from Broward County, Florida, and I just transferred from Broward College to the University of Florida this summer. Transferring schools was not the hard part in my case, but leaving my family behind to pursue a degree in public relations was the hardest part. I am the first in my family to leave for college and hopefully the first to get my bachelor’s degree, but as of right now, I miss my family.
I found out about the Southern Scholarship Foundation from a cousin that lived in one of the houses in Tallahassee. She said it was great and it helped her transition from home to college easier because of the bonds that she formed in the house. I love to travel, but more specifically, I love to go on road trips. I recently went on a weeklong road trip to California and back to Florida. It was a great road trip, but I did not get to do everything I wanted to do due to COVID-19. In the future, I hope to work in a corporate company and help them bring diversity and inclusion to the workspace. I also hope to help companies understand their audience and how to cater to their audience the correct way.
A couple of random things about me is I like oranges because it is a fruit as well as a color, and I love cotton fabric because it’s soft but not “too soft” (I certainly love the way it feels on my skin.) A dress is my favorite clothing piece because it is only one piece, which serves as a whole outfit. The last thing I would like to share is that I have one dimple on my right cheek.
