Emily Lee is the Communications Specialist at Southern Scholarship Foundation. Originally from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Emily is a current resident of SSF and has lived in the Polk House for three years where she is currently serving as House Manager and has previously served as Treasurer and Business Manager.

Currently a student at Florida State University, Emily is getting a double bachelor in Mass Media Communication and Information Technology and plans to graduate in May 2018.  Emily will graduate as a fifth year senior and will move into this position full-time.  This position stood out to Emily because it meets her passion where communication, people, and technology converge.  Human Communication and interaction is one my passions. I love the challenge of taking a message and shapeshifting it to fit the appropriate audience. I am looking forward to being at the forefront of SSF’s communications with perspective students, current residents, donors, alumni, and many other people who are invested in our motto of an Education for Life.

In addition to being a part of the SSF team, an SSF resident and FSU student, Emily is also involved with the LifeConnectors program and enjoys being a mentee and learning more about her passions and preparing her for future endeavors with her mentor. When she’s not at work or school full-time, you can find Emily dedicating time to her church responsibilities, her housemates and finding the time to sleep in-between!
