I was born in Virginia but raised in South Florida. I come from a Jamaican, Haitian, and Polish background. Having such a diverse background has made me very open-minded and willing to experience new things.
I am currently a senior at FSU majoring in Political Science, minoring in Communications, and earning a certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. Once I graduate, I am taking a gap year then going to law school. I am very involved on campus and with SSF. I currently work as Student Director of Programming and Assessments for FSU Challenge (a Campus Recreation program) and work as a Research Assistant for the Institute of Justice Research and Development in the College of Social Work. I am participating in a leadership program through Campus Recreation called “Leaders In Action.” Additionally, last school year I served as Business Manager for McKaig-Malthouse and currently serve as Secretary.
My hobbies are kickboxing and reading. I train at least three times a week for kickboxing. Due to my full schedule, it is hard to train more than three times a week. Also, I love to read! I can sit and read 1-2 books in one day.
I plan on using my education to help others. As a minority, it is important to fully understand how Politics work because it can drastically effect my life. I want to take my education to help those who do not fully understand politics and law by working as a Criminal Defense Attorney.
